Celebrated painter, muralist, and educator based in the Northeast United States

All of Suzanne Pasqualicchio’s paintings are essentially self-portraits.  The work is a record of her existence and relationships in this life. It involves the personal discovery and the quieting of a nostalgic desire to hold on.  Thus, through her art, the introspective becomes shared.  The theme spans multiple phases and periods of growth, loss, and recovery.  She feels viewing the experiences of another person (through artist expressions) can close the gap of our differences and bring us closer to our shared humanity.

During the years prior to becoming an art educator and advocate, Pasqualicchio was part of a team of female mural painters.  The team completed numerous public and private large-scale murals over a ten-year period from 2000-2010. While working professionally as a muralist, Suzanne continued to develop her personal body of work, primarily consisting of oil on canvas.  This work has been exhibited in various regional group shows, including a solo show in New York City’s Chelsea district.

Suzanne has fostered her advocacy of art by helping engage and expand the art experience for the youth that she has serviced as an educator since 2007 and documenting these projects via articles published in art journals. Her personal work continues to be shown in galleries and museums.

Suzanne studied at the California College of Art, the College of New Jersey, and Ashford University, and holds a BA in Art Education as well as a Masters in Teaching. Pasqualicchio is currently a teaching artist, and resides in the Northeast United States.
